Description	Survey material collected during the army education course at Wakefield relating to Wakefield and the surrounding area. It includes postcards showing photographs and drawings of the area; sketches of maps and cross sections of the landscape; notes on the history of the area, buildings, communication and transport links, businesses, and leisure activities; a photograph of Wakefield Cathedral; extracts from published works on Wakefield and the surrounding area including local towns and villages; two school prospectuses for Wakefield School of Art and Crafts; a street plan of Wakefield; a 'Report on Proposed Replanning of the Central Area of the City of Wakefield'; a report on Wakefield's water works; and a leaflet from the opening ceremony of the Ryburn Reservoir. Nine of the folders contain material relating to specific areas of Wakefield that were surveyed, these folders include sketched maps, postcards, and notes on the areas.
