Description	Correspondence relating to a proposed enquiry into the standard and mode of living of wage earners in London and several drafts of a memorandum setting out the method and rationale for the enquiry. There is also two copies of an article on 'The New Survey of London Life and Labour' by Sir H Llewellyn-Smith. There is no evidence that the enquiry was ever carried out.
